JUAN FAMENIAS set up shop at 89 Jermyn Street, St. James's London in c.1730. Travelling from Menorca, his native island, via Barcelona, Marseilles, Montpellier and Paris to arrive in London.  Floris first traded as a barber to fashionable London Gentlemen, the first Royal warrant was granted by H.M. King George IV to Mr John Floris
