Atlantis - Aquatic Luxury in Paradise
Kerzner International's newest hotel - Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai - is a fantasy hotel wonderland and the centrepiece of the extraordinary man-made island, 'The Palm', shaped like a palm tree in the Arabian Gulf.
Atlantis is a 1,539 room, ocean-themed destination resort featuring 100ft water slides and a vast aquarium. A giant Arabic arch links two 22-storey pink towers at the centre of 100-acre site. The construction bill is reported to have reached US$1.5 billion as a joint venture with the Dubai Government.
Guests are guaranteed the non-stop heat of the region and access to a wealth of attractions, including Dolphin Bay, where you can swim with dolphins, along with the world's largest open-air marine habitat, with some 65,000 marine animals.
Atlantis, The Palm offers an unprecedented entertainment centre, an impressive collection of luxury boutiques and shops and extensive meeting and convention facilities. Opened in September this year, the resort also boasts a collection of some of the most renowned world-class chefs including Nobu, Giorgio Locatelli, Santi Santamaria and Michel Rostang.
The Lost Chambers, a maze of underwater corridors and passageways provides a journey through ancient Atlantis. If you are lucky enough to stay in the one of the Lost Chambers suites your bedroom and bathroom look out into the aquarium, so you can go to bed watching the enormous whale shark glide past (if you are brave enough).
Pacific Direct was thrilled to be selected as guest amenity supplier. A custom-made collection of Floris luxury toiletries pictured right was developed to meet the demands of Atlantis' guests. Indulgent bathing and body products are fragranced with 'Limes', a retail fragrance with a vibrant burst of the zest of lemon with a refreshing heart of lime blossom, neroli and lily of the valley.
