Pacific Direct praised for first class Supply Chain Management
Pacific Direct has been praised in the latest edition of European Supply Chain Management magazine for its standards of excellence throughout its supply chain, allowing it to produce the consistently high quality products that keep it a market leader. Pacific Direct plans to penetrate deeper into the European market in the coming two years and has expanded its sales teams across this region.
As a licensee working with respected labels it is important that Pacific Direct understands its suppliers. CEO George Allan explains how the company meets this challenge: “We work very closely with all of our brand partners, in conjunction with their retail plans to try and ensure that our amenities tie closely into their retail lines. This is to maintain consistency for the brand in both look and experience and give assurance of quality to the guests.”
One recent development that has come about as a result of market research is the introduction of eco-friendly ingredients in the product formulations. Reacting to increasing customer demands for environmentally positive, healthy products, Pacific Direct has continued to fine tune its product range and worked with suppliers to offer the hospitality industry products that are free from additives such as parabens, mineral oils, genetically modified ingredients and synthetic colours. Furthermore, there is a stringent in-house environmental policy that emphasises the green running of the company’s own operations in sustainable sourcing, waste management and office practices.
“Pacific Direct sets high standards of excellence and we work with each of our suppliers to ensure these disciplines are maintained through the supply chain whether they are component suppliers or warehousing and distribution partners. Having the right supply chain is a prerequisite to our success and offers our customers the confidence that we can supply a consistent product wherever needed throughout the world, on time and on budget.”
